¿$TSLAB Tesla and $SPCXB SpaceX headed for a mega-merger? A trove of 30,221 Bitcoins and AI in the spotlight
The #EarningsSeason got off to a roaring start!
On one hand, SpaceX (Elon Musk’s rocket, Starlink satellite, and artificial intelligence company) just made a major move: it beat Wall Street expectations with $14,580 million in revenue (driven by heavy AI spending), sending its shares up 9% in premarket trading.
But what really shook up the financial world is that independent committees have now been formed to evaluate a possible merger between SpaceX and Tesla.
Why are they seeking to join forces?
The strategy aims to bring capital and cutting-edge technology development under one roof. In addition, if the merger goes through, they would create a combined corporate Bitcoin trove of 30,221 Bitcoins (adding SpaceX’s 18,712 BTC to Tesla’s 11,509), making it one of the largest institutional crypto reserves in the world.
News of this magnitude sparks immediate euphoria, but this is exactly when we need to exercise emotional discipline and sound analytical judgment. A merger between giants doesn’t happen overnight (the committees are only just negotiating, and the final say rests with the shareholders). With Tesla’s reports ($TSLA ) coming out today, my current stance is cautious: as you can see in the attached real-time market chart, where the price is trading at $378.92 with a moderate upward move of +1.39%, I’d rather not get swept up in the noise or the emotion of the moment. The priority is to protect capital, manage risk rigorously, and maintain a long-term perspective.
Do you think this merger will become reality, or is it just a strategy to shake up the market?
