A little after five in the afternoon, my coworkers were all at their desks waiting to clock out. I stared at the -555% on $ENSO and fell into deep thought.

Trying to short the top at 0.6106—now that’s asking for trouble. I hadn’t even left yet, and the market maker had already strung my position up on a telephone pole to dry.

This damn market just keeps pushing straight up. How is this shorting? I’m basically trying to stop a rocket with my face.
