Compounding your trading capital is one of the few ways retail traders can turn things around. Get it right, and your life can change. If you want to make it in crypto, first figure out how to grow your initial capital to a million. Stop dreaming about tens or hundreds of millions all day—get a few tens of thousands to a million first.
One of the more practical ways to go from a few tens of thousands to a million is to compound your capital. Once you have a million, you'll realize you don't need leverage: a 20% gain on spot is 200,000. Once you understand how to make money and have a steady mindset, you just keep repeating the process. Don't rush in recklessly, and you can do reasonably well.
If you haven't even grown your capital to a million, stop going on about earning tens of millions a year or being a crypto big shot. Don't just brag—you're making even the oxen sick of hearing it.
What does compounding your capital mean? It doesn't mean trading every day. You do it only when a major opportunity comes along. In ordinary times, trade small and stay nimble; when the opportunity comes, size up. If you manage to do it successfully three or four times in your life, you'll get much further than going all-in every day.
Three iron rules:
You have to be patient. Don't compound your position every time you get the chance. If the opportunity doesn't come, wait. Get it wrong once, and you could be wiped out. Once you're wiped out, even the biggest market rally has nothing to do with you.
Look for high-conviction setups: a major crash, followed by a long period of sideways trading, then a breakout on rising volume. This pattern is most likely to develop into a trend. Trying to compound while the market is moving sideways is just paying fees.
Once it's confirmed, get in. When an opportunity is confirmed, don't hesitate. Wait a second too long and you might miss the move, but before confirmation, waiting even ten seconds is fine. Getting in before it's confirmed isn't decisiveness—it's handing your money away.
Crypto doesn't offer a chance to get rich every day. Compounding your capital is one of the few moments when ordinary people can make a big leap forward. Your job isn't to gamble on the market every day; it's to endure, wait, spot the opportunity, and act. Only those who can hold out earn the right to act.
I've explained what confirmation means and how to stay out before it's confirmed in @波段王龙哥 . If you're still thinking about compounding every day and turning a few tens of thousands into tens of millions, leave a comment with how much you have right now. I'll only talk about whether to compound on this move, not the next coin that could make you a fortune.
