【🚨 ETH spot ETFs see nearly $1 billion in monthly outflows! Are institutions pulling back, or is market capital moving elsewhere?】

Ethereum’s capital flows are sending a signal worth paying attention to.

Since October, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs have seen net outflows of about $955 million, nearing $1 billion and setting a record for the largest monthly net outflow this year.

📉 It’s not just ETH—Bitcoin ETFs are also seeing outflows.

Last week, spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs recorded combined net outflows of about $549 million, including:

🔹 ETH ETFs: about $320 million in net outflows
🔹 BTC ETFs: about $229 million in net outflows

Ethereum ETFs have now seen net outflows for three consecutive weeks, while Bitcoin ETFs have seen outflows for a second consecutive week.

📌 What does this mean?

ETFs are an important window into the investment flows of traditional investors. Persistent net outflows mean that more money has been withdrawn from funds than has flowed in during this period, reflecting a cooling in investment demand.

However, ETF outflows don’t mean that all institutions are selling ETH, and this data point alone can’t determine where the market is headed.

One notable contrast: despite the sustained outflows in October, as of the time of publication, ETH ETFs still had year-to-date cumulative net inflows of about $610 million, indicating that earlier inflows have not been fully offset.

🔥 What really matters next is whether ETF flows turn positive again, and whether the price of ETH and spot trading volume improve in tandem.

Capital flows can’t directly predict market movements, but they can help us assess whether buyers have returned to the market.
