Will the sudden block time reduction from 75 seconds to 25 seconds be enough to trigger a strong breakout for $ZEC in early November?
The Zcash team has just finalized the activation height for the NU7 upgrade at block 3,543,405, with the rollout expected on November 5. This upgrade triples processing speed, cuts the time to deposit $ZEC onto exchanges to around 1 minute and 15 seconds, and introduces a mechanism that temporarily locks 60% of transaction fees out of circulation.
In theory, restricting the fee supply while speeding up the network is a pretty strong catalyst for price support. Still, Sean Bowe’s proposal has only received two approvals and hasn’t been fully integrated into nodes yet — news-driven moves like this can easily set liquidity traps that sweep both sides before a real trend takes shape.
I’m not rushing into an early position. Futures traders should wait for the price reaction around resistance just after November 5, and enter only if there’s a confirmed breakout on the candle close — don’t try to predict it.
