Confirmed 🔥 The news about $NEAR is confirmed and up to date 🔥

Proposal HSP-029 at House of Stake #NEAR has indeed been put to a vote (opened around October 19–20, 2026; voting runs until November 2). 👇

It proposes a gradual, linear reduction in the maximum annual issuance rate from 2.5% to 1.6% over 24 months (about 3.75 basis points per epoch), while maintaining the 90/10 distribution between stakers and the treasury. 👍

🤙 If approved, there will be a 90-day grace period, after which the reduction will begin; even if the vote passes, validators will still need to adopt the network upgrade separately.

🔥 According to the proposal’s calculations, this would avoid issuing ≈11.8 million NEAR over 2 years and ≈66.1 million over 6 years (reducing the supply by approximately 4.36% compared with the status quo), while staking yield would fall from ≈5.268% to ≈3.372% (at the current staking ratio of ≈42.71%). 🔥

This is good news for long-term holders $NEAR thanks to lower inflation and dilution, although stakers and validators will receive fewer rewards 👍👍👍

Bottom line: Good for holders 🤑
