Ken Griffin, founder of Citadel, said the current wave of AI investment has “almost certainly” formed a bubble. He compared the frenzy to the dot-com bubble.
Speaking Tuesday at the Global Markets Forum in New York, Griffin also noted that a small number of companies could still emerge as long-term winners.
S&P Global forecasts that capital spending related to AI by six tech companies, including Amazon and Microsoft, will exceed $7 trillion between 2025 and 2030.
CoreWeave currently has about $50 billion in debt. The yield on the company's bonds maturing in 2031 once rose to around 16%. Gartner estimates that more than $4 trillion in assets could face the risk of impairment by 2032.
