🚨 $ETH
Market Analysis: Institutional funds continue to flow out—is Ethereum rebounding or just pausing before another leg down?
📉 Market outlook: Bearish in the short term; waiting for confirmation at key levels!
Ethereum is currently facing two major headwinds:
1️⃣ ETF outflows
For the week ending October 16, U.S. spot ETH ETFs saw net outflows of approximately $320 million, exceeding the outflows from BTC ETFs over the same period. This reflects continued caution among institutional investors toward ETH in the short term.<Cite refs={["turn323978search0"]}/>
2️⃣ Fed policy and inflation
Markets continue to watch U.S. inflation and the direction of interest rates. If yields remain elevated and expectations for rate cuts fade, risk assets may remain under pressure. Conversely, if the U.S. dollar weakens and funds flow back into the crypto market, ETH could rebound.<Cite refs={["turn323978news33","turn323978search2"]}/>
🏦 A positive development to watch:
JPMorgan has expanded its dollar deposit token, JPM Coin, to the Ethereum mainnet, providing institutional clients with around-the-clock blockchain settlement services. This highlights Ethereum’s potential in institutional financial infrastructure, but does not mean the price of ETH will necessarily rise.<Cite refs={["turn323978news8"]}/>
🎯 ETH futures trading plan
The following is an example strategy, not a live market quote. Please check the current price before entering a trade.
🟢 Long strategy
Condition: Reclaim short-term resistance, accompanied by an increase in trading volume
Entry: After breaking above the recent 4-hour swing high, wait for a pullback to confirm
Take profit: Previous high, next major resistance zone
Stop loss: Fall back below the breakout zone
🔴 Short strategy
Condition: A weak rebound followed by a break below the recent 4-hour swing low
Entry: Enter after a failed rebound following the breakdown
Take profit: Previous low, next support zone
Stop loss: Reclaim the level that was broken
🔥 My key view: ETH’s biggest issue right now isn’t a lack of long-term utility, but whether short-term demand for funds can recover. While ETFs continue to see outflows, it’s unwise to blindly buy the dip. Improving fund flows combined with a high-volume breakout above resistance would be a more compelling rebound signal.
Do you think ETH will rebound next, or continue to fall?
