What’s the difference between “USDT-margined” and “coin-margined” contracts?
USDT-margined contracts use stablecoins such as USDT and USDC as margin, and profits and losses are also settled in stablecoins. In Binance’s Multi-Assets Mode, assets such as BTC can also be converted into margin.
When you go long on a coin-margined contract, keep this in mind: if the price falls, your position loses value, and the coin used as margin also depreciates, compounding your losses.
For example, $BTC : BTCUSDT calculates profits and losses in USDT, while the coin-margined BTCUSD contract calculates them in BTC. Current price: 82752.02.
