Market breadth is 68.8%. $BTC edged up just 0.97%, but $ZEC surged a full 10.49%. This divergence makes me cautious: it’s not a broad rally—individual coins are racing ahead.

Let’s look at volume. $ZEC had 24-hour trading volume of 213.4M, up 67% from the day before. Real money is coming in; this isn’t just hype. But the 1-hour moving averages are still converging, and no direction has been chosen. That means the bulls haven’t fully taken control, and a pullback to shake out positions could happen at any time.

Now the indicators and trend. RSI14 is at 66—strong, but not overbought, so there’s still room to run. On the 4-hour chart, MA7 is at 1,208 and MA25 at 1,157, a textbook bullish alignment. The daily MA7 and MA25 haven’t separated yet, which suggests the broader trend is still undecided. The current rise looks more like a burst within a range.

Now the flows. $ZEC ’s funding rate is -0.0001%, practically zero. The long/short ratio is 0.60, with slightly more shorts. This suggests the rally is being driven mainly by spot buying, while the derivatives market hasn’t added much leverage. This kind of “spot up, futures flat” move is relatively healthy and less prone to being wiped out by a sudden wick.

Let’s check its peers. WLD is up 9.79%, SPCXB 9.29%, and $PEPE 7.64%. Their moves together suggest capital is rotating into high-beta, small- and mid-cap sectors, rather than simply speculating on ZEC alone.

My plan: $ZEC is currently at 1,265, with resistance above at 1,296 and support below at 1,123. If it breaks above 1,296 on strong volume, I’ll cautiously try a small long position, with 1,240 as my invalidation level (near the 1-hour moving average) and the lower end of the previous high zone around 1,698 as my target. If it breaks below 1,240 and fails to reclaim it, this view is invalidated, and I’ll exit and stay on the sidelines.

I’ll wait for $ZEC to pick a direction before making a move. Are you holding spot or futures?
