When going long on Bitcoin, why are profits and losses calculated in USDT for some contracts and BTC for others?
When you use BTC as collateral to open a coin-margined long position, your collateral also fluctuates with the price of the coin: when the price falls, your position loses value, and the dollar value of your collateral falls too.
Both USDT-margined and coin-margined contracts include perpetual contracts as well as delivery contracts that expire quarterly, though the trading pairs available are not exactly the same.
At first, I thought understanding candlestick charts was all I needed. Later, I realized that mastering the basics is just the beginning.
Once you set a stop-loss order, let it execute—don't cancel it on impulse.
