Checking the charts this morning, $TON slapped me in the face—on October 17, it surged 31.8% in a single day to $1.78. While 40 of the top 50 were down, it was the one going up. Just three days ago, I was right here praising it as the “top gainer.”

Then yesterday (10-20), it turned around and plunged 24.3%, closing at $1.35. Among the 38 gainers in the top 50, it was the only major coin to embarrass itself like that. It gave back all of its gains in a single day—not a penny left.

The most infuriating part: I looked through the news and couldn’t find any convincing good news to explain that day’s surge, or any bad news to explain yesterday’s crash. A pure sentiment roller coaster—someone lit the fuse and pumped it, retail traders chased the price and bought in, then the person who lit the fuse got out first the next day.

I think I’ve figured this coin out: when it goes up, it makes no sense; when it goes down, it makes even less sense.

Let’s get the debate started in the comments: A) This is just a shakeout—buy the dip at $1.35 and wait for the next wave; B) Stay away from roller-coaster coins—the top gainer is bound to become the biggest loser. Which side are you on?
