According to the announcement from Binance, Binance Margin will begin a routine cleanup of eligible Cross Margin accounts effective from 2026-10-27 00:00 (UTC). The process will run daily and apply to accounts with total outstanding liabilities below 1 USD equivalent across all assets and no capital activity in the past 6 months. Binance defines capital activity as an action that generates a flow of funds, including adding or removing funds, borrowing or repaying loans, and using the Close Position, Close All, or Repay All functions. Open orders placed more than 6 months ago do not count as capital activity. For each eligible account, the system will automatically deduct the outstanding margin loan liability from available assets in the account. If multiple types of assets are available, Binance will select which asset to use at its discretion. Margin account functions will remain available during and after the cleanup, and users can borrow or trade after it. Accounts with total liabilities of 1 USD equivalent or more will not be affected. The cleanup will be processed in batches, and users may check their account status after processing is complete.
