$INJ rose 5.18% in six hours, with buy-side activity climbing to 56%. After expectations for won-denominated settlement strengthened, spot performance outpaced peers, though trading volume fell 34%.

On the 20th, Injective and BDACS announced that they had signed a memorandum of understanding to explore using the KRW1 Korean won stablecoin to settle on-chain real-world assets. If Korean institutions can settle directly in won, they can reduce their foreign-exchange exposure to conversions through the U.S. dollar, making it easier to bring local assets into on-chain markets.

The path to realization is institutional access approval, actual asset issuance, increased trading and settlement, and then greater network usage. The announcement limits minting and redemption to approved institutional partners, subject to regulatory approval. This threshold will determine the pace of business growth.

As of 09:00 Hong Kong time, full-period 6H trading volume was 5.63 million USDT, down from 8.58 million in the previous window, while the share of aggressive buying rose from 46.3% to 56%. Over the same period, ONDO gained 1.45% and SEI was flat. Buying in INJ was more active, but the price rise came with declining volume, making the scale of follow-through especially important.

INJ holders reviewing their exposure can account separately for any increase attributable to the Korean won partnership and check how much room their margin has to absorb a drawdown. If buy-side activity falls below half in the next full 6H period and INJ weakens relative to peers, the basis for support from the event-driven position will weaken. Institutional access lagging behind the price rise is the biggest risk to realizing the partnership's potential.
