【Market Flash】A month after 4,000 bitcoins were stolen, Liquid Network has only now reached the final stage of its recovery. In September, hackers exploited an inflation bug to conjure up more than 4,000 LBTC and siphon about $320 million worth of real BTC from the federation’s wallet. Most has been recovered, but around 600 BTC—nearly $50 million—remains in the attackers’ hands. Officials say they are rebuilding the 1:1 reserves and restoring redemptions in stages, after which withdrawals will resume under controlled conditions. The so-called white hats kept 15%—that’s no bounty; it’s a ransom paid at a discount. Before the 1:1 backing is fully restored, would you still put BTC into a sidechain? Comment 1 if bullish, 2 if bearish
