US AI semiconductor and memory stocks: I think the weekly pullback is close to being confirmed over.
Over the past couple of days, we’ve started seeing all kinds of sharp whipsaws designed to shake out weak hands. That’s a good thing.
Memory stocks surged across the board last night, then got hammered again in premarket trading tonight—only to quickly rebound after the US market opened! I think the biggest change over the past couple of days is that buyers are starting to step in near the lows after the consecutive plunges.
It was also clear last night that some investors were buying the dip. $MU , $SNDK , and $MRVL all had very solid rebounds. Even the AI memory stocks that were hit hardest in this selloff have started to rebound sharply.
That said, I still expect a choppy rebound from here. We can’t yet be sure that the pullback is over; we need more time to confirm.
Let’s keep watching over the next couple of days to see whether this AI rally in US stocks can hold on to its gains. Volatility has been extreme in this move. What we should be waiting and looking for are stocks that remain strong after a retest—not chasing every sharp spike.
Don’t rush. We should have confirmation from the market by next week at the latest, which would make this a good time to enter for a weekly rebound. At this point, there’s no need to ride these stocks all the way down to find a bottom, or anxiously worry about the chart structure breaking down.
