JPMorgan: $BTC annualized 10% over the next decade, outperforming U.S. stocks, gold, and bonds
First, the bottom line: This is a milestone in Wall Street “formally embracing Bitcoin,” but it’s not a reason to chase prices now

📈 What the bulls are saying:
1️⃣ A first in its 31-year history—JPMorgan’s 2027 Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions report (published yesterday) has included Bitcoin in its official forecasts for the first time: a 10% annualized return over the next 10–15 years in the base case, outperforming U.S. large-cap stocks at 7.5%, small-cap stocks at 7.7%, REITs at 8.2%, bonds at 5.6–6.6%, and gold at 5.5%
2️⃣ The bull-case annualized return is 17%. Japanese-speaking users on X are already celebrating: “JPMorgan finally gets it!”—even Dimon, who called Bitcoin a scam in 2017, is now at a bank that lets clients buy it
3️⃣ The logic: With an arithmetic average return of 20.9%, even if 55% volatility cuts that in half, the compounded return still comes to 10%

📉 What the bears are saying:
1️⃣ Even JPMorgan itself hasn’t included BTC in its core portfolio—the report says: “Volatility and unstable correlations remain barriers to broad portfolio inclusion.” It views Bitcoin as a “speculative asset and a hedge against monetary easing,” not a diversification tool
2️⃣ The bear-case annualized return is -9.7%; a decade of losses isn’t out of the question. The report explicitly says this is a long-term planning tool, not a price target
3️⃣ What does 55% annualized volatility mean? U.S. large-cap stocks are only at 18%. In theory, you could earn 10% annually—but only if you can hold on through a 50% drawdown in a given year without selling

🎯 My take:
The significance as a signal is greater than its impact on price. This is the first time Bitcoin has been included in a “10-year outlook” by a top-tier Wall Street asset manager, raising the ceiling for its long-term narrative
But it doesn’t change any short-term technical structure: $BTC is still moving sideways in a narrowing range of $81,000–$84,000, and the pullback isn’t over. Anyone using this news as a reason to chase prices is hearing “10 years” as “10 days”
No change to the plan: Spot holders should keep waiting to buy in stages at $76,000–$80,000. The right way to use this news is as reassurance for long-term holders
