Study Notes | BIP-39 Passphrase
① If you enter the wrong passphrase, the wallet won’t show an error; it will instead recover a completely new, empty wallet.
② According to BIP-39, the wallet seed is generated by running PBKDF2 2,048 times on the mnemonic and passphrase, producing a 512-bit result.
③ Not all wallets support BIP-39 passphrases, so check whether the wallet you plan to use supports them before importing.
