#EarningsSeason ๐ Tesla vs. Meta: Which Surprises the Market in Earnings Season?
Big earnings are coming, and there are two names on my radar: Tesla and Meta. ๐๏ธ
Both of these companies are set to report their Q3 2026 results on October 21 after the closing bell of the US market. But what should investors really be keeping an eye out for?
๐ Tesla ($TSLA )
Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles and deployed 13.7 GWh of energy storage during the third quarter.
The main question for investors is whether the automaker's profit margins in the automotive sector will remain strong despite continued heavy investments in AI, robotaxis and autonomous driving.
๐ค Meta ($META )
As for Meta, its advertising revenue streams and AI-enhanced productivity gains will be of particular interest.
However, it is also worth remembering that building an AI infrastructure requires considerable investment. Investors will be looking for signs that these expenditures will pay off in terms of increased revenues and profits.
๐ก My personal opinion is that while strong numbers would certainly help, the real market reaction may well depend on forward-looking guidance, profit margins and the companies' ability to justify continued large-scale investments.
Now I'm interested in your opinion ๐
Which earnings report are you paying more attention to - Tesla's or Meta's? And which company do you think has a better chance of surprising the market?
Note: This is an earnings preview, not a report of actual Q3 financial results.
