$FIL 4-hour chart shows a MACD golden cross below the zero line.
When assessing a MACD crossover, where it occurs matters more than whether it is a golden cross or a death cross. A golden cross below the zero line means bearish momentum is fading during a downtrend. It is more of a rebound signal, and less reliable than a golden cross above the zero line. The trend can only be considered to be strengthening once the DIF rises back above the zero line.
The longer the timeframe, the more weight the indicator signal carries.
