This market is getting absolutely crushed by macro forces: it just touched 83,000, then got yanked back down to 81,400. Two and a half culprits: Brent crude surged to $111, a five-month high; South Korea’s KOSPI fell to its lowest close since April, dragged down by Samsung and SK Hynix. The other half is the bears on Deribit: put buying is more than twice call buying, with everyone betting on a break below 80,000.

The usual characters are out in force: dip-buyers have drawn three lines below 82,000 and declared them the last line of defense; bears are posting their puts and mocking the “defense” as something drawn for suckers; the checked-out crowd is just watching: with oil and Korean stocks still on the move, when will crypto get to call the shots for itself?

The comments section is open: A) 81,000 holds and we bounce; B) we’re definitely going below 80,000 this week. Pick a side and sound off.
