According to the announcement from Binance, the exchange will update Cross Margin Borrow and Transfer-out collateral ratios, Portfolio Margin collateral ratios, and Portfolio Margin Pro tiered collateral ratios for several assets starting 2026-10-23 06:00 (UTC). The update is expected to take approximately 30 minutes. For Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin, the collateral ratios for POL, SHIB, and XLM will rise from 50% to 60%. The ratios for COW, NEXO, RVN, and SAND will increase from 10% to 30%. The Portfolio Margin Pro tiered collateral settings will also change for COW, NEXO, RVN, and SAND. The announcement lists a rank change from 100 to 90, collateral ratios ranging from 10% to 100%, and floor and cap thresholds that differ before and after the update. The listed thresholds extend from 50,000 USD to 99,999,999,999 USD before the change and from 100,000 USD to 99,999,999,999 USD afterward. Binance said the Cross Margin change will affect the amount users can borrow or transfer out. In Portfolio Margin, collateral ratios and leverage affect the Unified Maintenance Margin Ratio (uniMMR), which users should monitor following the update.
