Tomorrow: Alpenglow goes live. Confirmation time drops from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds, after 18 months of preparation and a one-slot switch. The official team just corrected the mainnet launch time to around 9:20 p.m. Beijing time tomorrow.
A snarky take: The biggest consensus upgrade in history, going live with unresolved mysteries around MEV and the penalty mechanism—that’s Solana’s idea of romance: never missing a bug-fix deadline, just announcing the next upgrade early.
The chain is flying, but the coin’s still stuck just above 100, completely unmoved.
Sound off in the comments: A) Witness history tomorrow night and give the price a little boost / B) Bugs fixed at launch—classic encore. Drop your vote.
