I just came across a post from the official House of Stake account: voting on HSP-029 is now open. It proposes gradually lowering annual issuance from 2.5% to 1.6% over 24 months, while keeping the staking and treasury split at 90/10. The proposal model estimates that roughly 11.8 million fewer tokens would be issued over two years, and around 66.1 million fewer over six. The forum at gov.near.org shows the status as “Voting,” and you can also visit houseofstake.org/proposals/29. For someone like me who keeps an eye on supply, voting being open today is more useful than just talking about cutting issuance.

Spot price just plunged to around 4.64, down about 6.3% over 24 hours, with trading volume above 100 million U. The intraday high briefly touched 5.043. I’d be willing to buy in batches if it pulls back to 4.64–4.72, and add more if it dips further to 4.50–4.60. If the daily candle closes below 4.45, I’ll admit I was wrong and step aside for now. Above that, I’m first watching for a move back to 4.85, then 5.00 and 5.14.

If you want to follow the supply narrative, check the chart in the trading widget below $NEAR —don’t just wait for the vote result before making a move.
