Why are cross-chain bridges often prime targets for attackers?
Before using a cross-chain bridge, make sure you’re visiting its official website. Fake cross-chain websites are a common phishing tactic.
Simply put, cross-chain transfers involve additional layers of trust compared with transfers on the same chain: you have to trust not only the two chains themselves, but also the bridge’s smart contract code and verification mechanism.
$ZRO and $W are the tokens of the cross-chain messaging protocols LayerZero and Wormhole, respectively.
