BTC reclaims 83K, while altcoins are still getting beaten down
Over the weekend, some people called for a “Black Monday,” but Monday turned green instead: after holding around 80.7K–81K, BTC climbed back above 83K, and short liquidations totaled a significant amount.
But there’s another side to the story: Bitcoin dominance rose to around 60.7%, its highest level in nearly 14 months, while altcoins overall were clearly weaker than BTC. Many are still hoping for an altcoin season, but for now the data looks more like “liquidity continuing to concentrate in BTC.”
Short term: don’t chase rallies or sell in a panic. Medium term: keep an eye on ETF flows and BTC.D—they’re more reliable than news about any single altcoin.
