BTC dominance hits 60.7%—is altseason still coming? 🤔

Bitcoin dominance just surged to 60.7%, its highest level in 14 months.

Last week’s numbers were even more sobering: The median coin in the top 100 by market cap fell 9.3%, while BTC dropped just 2%. Altcoins fell more than four times as much as Bitcoin.

But there are a few signals worth watching 👇
🔹 The share of coins held for 6–12 months that moved to exchanges fell from 40.4% in June to 4.4%—selling pressure has eased significantly
🔹 Companies bought around 193,000 BTC this year, while retail investors sold 93,000
🔹 Visa just launched global USDC payments for businesses, adding another use case for stablecoins

My take: Money flowing into Bitcoin first is an old script in every market cycle. Altseason isn’t off the table—but it may take BTC stabilizing and its dominance turning lower. Going all-in on altcoins now feels more like trying to catch a falling knife.
