💰 Ethereum is preparing for the major Glamsterdam upgrade — the date of the next phase has been announced
On October 26, the Glamsterdam upgrade will be activated on the Hoodi testnet, the Ethereum Foundation announced.
What’s changing:
🔹 Parallel processing — optimizing transaction execution and verification.
🔹 New block-building architecture — separating participants’ roles to improve network efficiency.
🔹 The gas limit will increase to 200 million on the Hoodi testnet.
Earlier, on October 6, the upgrade was activated on Sepolia.
❗️The Ethereum mainnet is not being upgraded yet. A date for Glamsterdam’s mainnet launch has not been set.
