BNB Chain’s 37th quarterly burn has just taken place. According to the official figures, approximately 1.646 million BNB were burned, worth about $1.197 billion at the time, leaving a circulating supply of roughly 131.5 million BNB.

The figures on X trending topics match those in announcements from Wu Blockchain and BNB Chain. CoinGecko shows spot BNB at around $729, up roughly 0.2% over 24 hours (snapshot at approximately 14:09 Beijing time).

I think this looks more like an automatic supply reduction according to the rules than a short-term price-pumping narrative. The burn amount depends on price and block production. About 31.5 million BNB remain before the 100 million target, and the pace is predictable, so any premium may not materialize right away.

I’ll be watching two conditions. If BNB continues to outperform BTC by more than 5% over the next two weeks, I’ll read that as the market pricing in deflation. If BNB falls below $680 and drops more than 4% in a single day, I’ll take that as a sign the known positive news of the burn has already been priced in.

Which matters more to you: a hard supply constraint or relative strength against BTC? I’d look at relative strength first, then talk about a deflation premium.
