$105. SOL has been stuck between its 30-day low and 50-day moving average for three days.

The 30-day low is $101.57. It held when tested on the 9th of this month, and there was genuine buying support below. But overhead, the 50-day moving average at $109.36 is still weighing on the price, which has yet to break above it. Bulls and bears alike are waiting for a reason to make a decisive move.

There’s been some real news over the past couple of days. Bitwise’s Solana staking ETF (BSOL) launched and saw $220 million in trading volume in its first few hours—Bloomberg’s ETF analysts even called it impressive. Grayscale’s GSOL is also expected to begin trading this week, with several others in the queue. In theory, the ETF tap is now open.

But the market is telling it like it is: the price simply isn’t rising. The launch of an ETF doesn’t mean money will immediately pour in. BTC and ETH ETFs also got off to a slow start before funds gradually flowed in. On top of that, the U.S. government is still shut down, leaving the SEC effectively half-paralyzed. Liquidity is already scarce, and no one is willing to make the first move on altcoins right now.

My take: in the short term, we’re range-bound. First, watch whether SOL can get above $109.36; if it breaks below $101.57, it could head for $97. ETFs are a long-term story—don’t expect them to lift prices in the short term. As for my position, I’m holding my spot and sitting tight. I’ll consider adding a little if it drops further, but I won’t chase.
