Knowledge Card: Contract Long/Short Ratio
The number of long and short positions in the market is always equal. Therefore, a long/short ratio above 1 means that short positions are concentrated in fewer accounts, with each short account holding a larger position.
Don’t use the long/short ratio as the sole basis for opening a position. Consider it alongside open interest, funding rates, and price for a more complete picture.
For example, the current price: $BTC is quoted at 81872, with a 24h change of -0.86%.
