Back near $0.079, the rhythm of the price swings is changing
0.079. I’ve been watching that number all day.
You could call it cheap, but it’s pricier than it was for most of the time I can remember. You could call it expensive, but the first price in my ledger was 0.0003. In 2014, I bought Dogecoin on an old computer with a fan that whirred like crazy. Afterward, I told my wife I might be able to use it for tips someday. She laughed for half a month.
Now the market is grinding between 0.078 and 0.080. It dips a little in the morning, then climbs back in the afternoon, like someone who doesn’t want to get out of bed rolling over. I know this kind of exhausting rhythm, and it actually puts me at ease. When prices shoot up, I get nervous. A slow grind feels more like everyday life.
Someone asked me if 0.079 can hold. I don’t know. I really don’t. If I had that kind of foresight, I wouldn’t have been eating instant noodles in my rented room in 2015 while watching my account lose half its value.
All I know is that this coin has been with me for more than ten years. I’ve changed wallets four times, and copied my private key into three notebooks. The price changes every day, but I still feel the same about tipping with it.
Let it swing. I’m taking the dog for a walk.
