Market Maker’s Perspective: Daily Review of $BTC (2026-10-20 09:38 Snapshot)

First, to be clear: There were no posts yesterday, 10-19 (the four-posts-a-day cadence only starts today). This is the first review in this round, checking the invalidation points for the latest four posts. Figure 1 is today’s knowledge card: How to read support and resistance.

Data (09:38 snapshot): Current price 81,640; 24h high 83,149.8 / low 81,166. OI 30,050 coins (stabilized and edged up slightly); funding rate +0.0100%, neutral.

Post-by-post verification:

① 10-18 short post: Of the three shakeout signals, price did reach 83,149.8, so that one played out; OI was basically flat, but aggressive buying never followed through → shakeout not confirmed. The reversal condition (break below 80,755 and hold there) did not occur → overall, still inconclusive.

② 10-20 04:28 short post: The “hold above 81,909” invalidation point triggered in the opposite direction—the 08:00 1H close at 81,696.9 failed to reclaim 81,909, and at 09:00 price briefly dipped to 81,166 → shakeout failure played out; look back to 81,500. OI stabilized and edged up slightly, but the price condition was not met.

③ 10-20 04:49 long post: Same three signals, same conclusion—the shakeout failed; look back to 81,500. If the 1H close breaks below 81,500 and holds there, then look to 79,700–80,000 (this has not happened).

④ 10-20 08:30 morning session: None of the three invalidation points have triggered—① 1H close below 81,500: the wick tested 81,166 but price recovered above 81,640; 1H close still pending (check at 10:00); ② break above 82,500: no sign of it; ③ volume at the 777k level: the largest volume in the past 24h is still the 777,766 candle from 10-19 22:00, with no fresh volume. The Asia-session forecast of “chopping between 81,500 and 82,500” has largely played out.

Today’s focus: The 10:00 1H close is the deciding factor. A close back above 81,500 means the range-bound action continues; a break below and hold opens the way to 81,000. The upside ignition condition is unchanged: a 1H close above 82,500.
