I dug up the account where I spent nearly $20,000 on cloud hashing power at Genesis Mining back in the day, and I’m devastated…
Post: Today, while clearing out old passwords, I logged into my account at the once-famous Genesis Mining. Let’s take a look at my purchase history:
Between 2017 and 2019, I bought all kinds of contracts—SHA-256, Dagger-Hashimoto, Cryptonight. I didn’t miss a thing.
The biggest purchase cost me $9,557, and another one was $5,860. I ended up sinking nearly $20,000 into it!
Then I opened my account balance:
BTC: 0.00007272
ETH: 0.01824326
XMR: 0.28015978
Back then, I thought buying “permanent/long-term hashing power” would let me earn passive income without lifting a finger. Turns out, it all just became Expired. If I’d bought and held $20,000 worth of coins back then, I’d be financially free by now…
