PONS Plunges Over 70%! Does Robinhood Chain’s Star Project Still Have a Future?

Once a project the market had high hopes for, PONS is now facing its toughest test since launch.

After falling from an all-time high of nearly $1 to around $0.26, even listings on major exchanges such as Coinbase have failed to reverse its decline.

The question is: has the bubble burst, or is PONS being undervalued by the market?

First, we need to understand that PONS is more than just a meme coin driven by hype.

Behind it is Pons, a token launch and trading platform on Robinhood Chain. It generates revenue from new token launches and trading fees, and uses some of that revenue to buy back and burn PONS.

That means its tokenomics are directly tied to activity on the platform.

But that’s precisely where the problem lies.

As the speculative frenzy around Robinhood Chain has cooled, the number of new token launches, trading volume, and platform revenue have all declined. Buyback momentum has weakened, and the market has begun reassessing PONS’s value.

Still, I think it’s too early to declare PONS dead.

If Robinhood Chain can continue attracting developers, traders, and new capital, Pons may still benefit from its established position on the platform.

What’s really worth watching isn’t whether PONS can briefly rebound 30%, but whether platform revenue can start growing again and the buyback-and-burn mechanism can continue to work.

My view:

In the short term, PONS remains in a high-risk downtrend. A steep decline alone is no reason to assume it has bottomed out.

In the medium to long term, if the Robinhood Chain ecosystem truly takes off and Pons can remain competitive, this crash could also mark the beginning of a future revaluation.

Whether PONS can turn things around ultimately depends on its ability to convert on-chain trading activity into sustainable, stable revenue.

The next 10x coin—or another project the market forgets?

The answer lies not in hype, but in the data.
