On the 39th anniversary of Black Monday, Wall Street is doing the opposite of 1987: buying the dip. The Nasdaq is up nearly 2%, but Bitcoin lost $83K minutes after breaking above it and slipped back toward $82K.

On Friday, oil above $100, the 10-year Treasury near 5.1%, and debt concerns behind the AI boom hit tech, crypto, and sent the VIX up 21.5%. Over the weekend, BTC held $80K despite tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Today, lower oil, stronger-than-expected Chinese GDP, and reduced odds of an immediate Fed hike have reopened risk appetite.

In alts, DeFi leads, with ARB up as much as 6.7%. The weak spot is flow: Bitcoin ETFs ended Friday with $82.4M in net outflows. Wall Street is already buying risk again; institutional crypto money still hasn’t confirmed.
