Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the European Union and the United States, not Russia, are undermining global energy stability. According to Sina Finance, citing Russia's Foreign Ministry, Lavrov made the remarks during bilateral talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on October 19.
Lavrov said Russia does not want energy market price volatility and supports stable prices. He said Russia and Iran have broad prospects for cooperation in hydrocarbons. Russia welcomes Tehran's commitment to resolving regional issues through diplomacy and is willing to help find ways to resolve the conflict between Iran and the United States.
Araghchi said Western policies were the root cause of the prolonged Ukraine crisis and other military conflicts.
