Jokes aside, Binance futures saw about $2.63 million in liquidations over the past hour, with long positions accounting for 85.7% ($2.26 million in longs / $377,000 in shorts). The largest liquidation was $ETH .
My iron rule: keep leverage low enough to sleep soundly, and set stop-losses more reliably than a morning alarm.
A quick clarification: these amounts are calculated based on the notional value of positions, not the actual money lost. In isolated margin mode, when a position with 10x leverage is liquidated, the loss is roughly one-tenth of its notional value in margin.
The same data can mean very different things in different market conditions, so don't blindly apply a single rule of thumb.

For the record only—not investment advice.
