What can account abstraction (ERC-4337) do?
Smart contract wallets let you customize verification rules, such as multisig, social recovery, daily transfer limits, and batch transactions. Ethereum originally had two types of accounts: externally owned accounts (EOAs) controlled by private keys, and contract accounts controlled by code. Only externally owned accounts can initiate transactions.
With a smart contract wallet, losing the private key on one device doesn’t necessarily mean losing all your assets. You can regain control according to rules you set in advance.
With the help of a Paymaster, you can perform Ethereum operations even if your wallet doesn’t contain $ETH , with a third party paying the gas fees. Currently 2426.69.
