The Taproot upgrade took effect on November 14, 2021, at block height 709632. It was a soft fork.
To be honest, I only learned this later: before transferring Bitcoin from an address holding inscriptions, use a wallet that recognizes inscriptions to avoid accidentally spending them as ordinary coins.
The inscription on $BTC uses Taproot, and $ORDI was the first BRC-20 token.
