Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said he is personally developing a new programming language for the network with Input Output Global engineer Lucas Rosa. It would combine transaction intents, proof-carrying data and Groth16 proofs to help applications execute user requests and efficiently verify conditions, according to CoinDesk. Hoskinson has not named the language, released public code or said when developers can use it; Cardano smart contracts currently use Plutus and Aiken, while Input Output Global’s Midnight blockchain uses Compact.
