What is a Binance referral code?
A Binance referral code is an invitation ID that links your new account to an existing user and passes on a portion of their commission to you as fee cashback. Binance calls this share a kickback. The percentage is fixed for each code when it’s created and shown on the registration page, so you can check it before confirming. Each account has exactly one referrer, permanently.
Referral code or voucher code: What’s the difference?
Many people search for “Binance voucher” and mean three different things. The referral code (TOPBINANCE) is permanent and gives you back a portion of every fee. Welcome vouchers in the Rewards Hub are temporary fee credits for completing tasks. Promo codes are limited-time campaigns announced by Binance itself. Only the referral code works for the entire lifetime of your account.

Sign up with your email address or mobile number.
Complete identity verification (ID card or passport plus a face scan).
Deposit using a credit card, bank transfer, P2P, or crypto transfer. In Switzerland, a bank transfer in CHF or EUR is usually the cheapest option.
Make your first Spot or Futures trade. The cashback will be credited to your Spot Wallet in USDC.

Can I add the referral code after signing up?
Yes, since 2026, within 30 days of signing up. Binance allows you to link a referral code later if the account has no deposits or trades yet, no other referrer is linked to it, and your KYC details haven’t been used for another account in the past 180 days. Go to Profile → Referral → Referral Pro and look for the option to link a code. Almost all guides claim this is impossible; Binance’s current FAQ says otherwise.
How much do you actually save?
About 40% of Spot fees if you also pay fees in BNB—not the 45% promised by many posts, because the two discounts multiply. Standard Spot fee: 0.100%. With BNB (25% discount): 0.075%. With BNB plus TOPBINANCE’s 20%: 0.060%.

The three most common mistakes
Trying to add the code after making a deposit. Linking a code later is blocked after your first deposit or trade. Check the code before taking your first step.
Opening a second account for a better code. Binance detects matching KYC details and cancels all commissions and cashback in that case. One account per person.
Mistaking a voucher for cash. Welcome vouchers offset fees; they can’t be withdrawn. The USDC cashback from the referral code is withdrawable.
