A Binance referral code is an invite ID that links a new account to an existing user and gives you a portion of that user’s commissions back as cashback. Binance calls this share a kickback. The rate is set when each code is created and shown on the signup page, so you can check it before confirming. An account can have only one inviter for its lifetime.
Referral code, invite code, promo code: what’s the difference?
These three terms are often confused in Turkish searches. A referral code and an invite code are the same thing; the signup form calls it a “Referral ID,” and it provides ongoing commission cashback. A promo code, on the other hand, refers to time-limited vouchers Binance announces for specific campaigns. Welcome vouchers are earned by completing tasks in Rewards Hub and expire. Only a referral code works for the lifetime of the account.

Rules that changed in 2026
The Binance referral program has undergone three important changes in the past year, and most older guides don’t mention them.
Performance-based tiers: Since September 2025, the inviter’s performance—not their BNB balance—determines the commission rate; it’s evaluated quarterly. This doesn’t affect your cashback, because it’s fixed per code.
Calculation based on net commission: Starting April 29, 2026 for Spot and July 15, 2026 for Futures, cashback is calculated on net commission after market maker discounts are deducted. For regular users, the difference is negligible.
Linking a code after signup: You can add a code within 30 days of signing up if you haven’t deposited or traded and don’t already have an inviter. Older guides say it’s “impossible”; that’s no longer true.

If you pay commissions in BNB, you save about 40% on Spot. The 45% figure in many posts isn’t correct, because the two discounts are multiplied, not added. The standard Spot commission is 0.100%. With BNB (25% discount), it’s 0.075%. With BNB plus TOPBINANCE’s 20% cashback, it’s 0.060%.
