$SKHYNIX Hynix is unbelievably strong, but don’t chase the rebound

Hynix’s fundamentals are undeniably rock-solid: its entire 2026 production capacity is sold out, Q3 net profit surged 119%, it has 3.8 trillion in net cash, and its HBM market share exceeds 60%. It’s also spending 40 trillion on share buybacks and cancellations. Its status as an AI memory cash machine is well deserved.

But macro funds aren’t playing along. U.S. semiconductor stocks are broadly selling off, and selling pressure on the underlying stock has dragged the price down from $199. The order-book buy/sell ratio in the futures market has turned positive, with short-term bulls stepping in, but the underlying stock is still a drag.

Technically, after a sharp drop to 882, the price made a V-shaped recovery and the moving averages crossed bullishly, suggesting positive short-term momentum. But 960–985 is a resistance zone from previous highs. A breakout on strong volume could open the way to 1,000; if it fails to break through, the price may retest around 960.

Trading plan: Absolutely do not chase shorts at 960–985. Bulls should wait for a pullback and consider entering only if 960 holds as support, with a stop-loss below 882.
