The long position banked over 400 points in profit first. Once the gains were in the bag, the market shifted, so I flipped straight into a short on the pullback and calmly captured another 700-plus points. Go long when it’s time to go long, and short when it’s time to short—don’t get emotionally attached to the market. Take one leg of the move, then another; that back-and-forth rhythm of capturing price swings is what makes trading truly enjoyable.
Bitcoin rallied from around 80684 to 83158. After testing the area near 83100 for the first time, clear selling pressure emerged. It’s now giving back some gains on the four-hour chart. In the short term, this looks like a normal correction after a rally, not yet a confirmed reversal into a downtrend. On the one-hour chart, the move up from 80684 was mostly a steady series of higher highs. After reaching 83158, price consolidated near the highs for a few candles before pulling back repeatedly, suggesting that buying interest from traders chasing the rally is starting to cool. Price is now back around 82300, and bullish MACD momentum is also waning, so this isn’t a good place to chase the move. I’m mainly watching the 81800–82100 area below. It’s both the pullback zone after the previous breakout and near the four-hour middle band. As long as price pulls back into this area without breaking decisively lower on strong volume, I’d favor another rebound. So the plan is still to wait for a pullback to go long, rather than chase the current price. If price breaks below 81800 and the one-hour candle fails to close back above it, don’t force this trade—the rebound structure would be starting to weaken.
