I’m planning to dollar-cost average over the long term for 5–10 years. I’d appreciate your advice.
My plan: focus mainly on U.S. stock index funds and invest monthly, while also considering adding to my positions when the market drops sharply.
I’m currently thinking of investing in these two funds:
- Nasdaq 100 (QQQ)
- S&P 500 (SPY / VOO)
- $BTC

I’d like to ask a few questions:
1. What would be a sensible allocation between the two? For example, 60/40, 50/50, or is there a better split?
2. Are there any other funds that might be better suited to long-term dollar-cost averaging? For example, the Russell 2000, dividend ETFs, or adding a little BTC/ETH as a satellite position?
3. Is it better to invest automatically on a fixed date, or to wait for pullbacks and add manually?

I’d love to hear from anyone with long-term investing experience. Thanks!
