Why did ONEA choose a release schedule spanning more than eight years?
Our planned release period begins on July 1, 2027, and ends on October 1, 2035—a span of **8 years and 3 months**.
In an industry prone to chasing short-term hype, we want to take a longer-term view of token releases and sustained development. But a longer timeline does not guarantee success, nor does it guarantee returns. Trust should come from clear rules, tangible delivery, and verifiable progress—not promises of returns.
Cross-border payments are one of the future directions we hope to explore. Blockchain may offer new options for certain use cases, but compliance, reliability, liquidity, and user experience all need to be tested in the real world. At this point, we cannot describe this initiative as an already-launched global payment network.
If future applications develop well and the economic model supports it, we may explore options such as buybacks, partial burns, and continued staking. These are mechanisms that could be discussed in the future, not confirmed annual commitments, and they do not guarantee an increase in the token price. Data concerning the 3% burn address and approximately 85% staking should also be verified against on-chain records and official rules before being publicly confirmed.
We would rather be honest about uncertainty than trade promises of returns for trust.
Eight years is a plan. What truly matters is what we can build during that time.
First planned release: July 1, 2027
Final planned release: October 1, 2035
