Asian financial markets today have been a real roller coaster! Following Wall Street and NASDAQ’s tech “dud,” Japanese (Nikkei 225) and Taiwanese (TAIEX) stocks plunged by thousands of points this morning.
But the biggest surprise was South Korea’s Kospi. It opened down over 3%, as retail investors fled, selling a net 1 trillion won. Yet big institutional players swooped in to buy the dip, sending Samsung and Hyundai soaring and helping the Kospi make an incredible comeback, closing up 1.76%! Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s market took a leisurely holiday break—sitting back and watching the tigers fight from the safety of the mountain, as they say.
Could this legendary V-shaped reversal in Asian stocks spark an upward trend on Wall Street tonight?
What should traders do? When traditional markets are choppy and dip-buying is in full swing, crypto can easily see liquidation wicks sweeping both sides. Avoid FOMOing into candles, and manage your capital carefully!
