The mining rules changed today: sharing trade signals alone isn’t enough anymore
At 8:00 a.m. on October 19 (Beijing time), the new rules for Square content mining officially took effect.
The biggest change is just one thing: a new “Platform Engagement Reward.”
Before, there was only one way to earn: readers clicked the token tag in your post and traded, and you got a 20% commission rebate.
Now there are two ways to earn: the 20% trading rebate stays, plus a weekly engagement reward.
Text, images, and short videos are all eligible.
More comments, likes, and follows, plus higher-quality discussions, can earn you a share of the weekly reward pool.
Engagement from active readers carries more weight; likes from bot followers are worth little.
For posts with images and text, and for chat rooms, the rebate is still just 20%—no bonus.
Livestreams get the biggest share: the 20% base rate stays the same, and each week the top 100 are ranked by rebates.
Ranks 1–30 get an extra 30%, for up to 50% total; ranks 31–100 get an extra 10%.
The previous cycle (October 12 through 8:00 a.m. today) will be settled under the old rules, with payments completed by October 21.
The new rewards are paid weekly in USDC, directly into your spot wallet, with payouts starting at 0.1 USDC.
Don’t try to game the system: like-for-like groups, engagement farming with alt accounts, scripted likes, and interactions between linked accounts won’t count.
Repeated likes and comments only count once. Deleted interactions and unfollows don’t count either.
Participation is automatic: once you’ve verified your identity and published your first post, you’re in—no sign-up needed.
Before, you only earned by sharing trade signals. Now, you can earn when people view and discuss your content.
With every rule change, it feels more like they’re paying real people.
Personal opinion only; not investment advice.
