To all the guys hoping to get rich overnight in crypto, listen closely to my story.
You only see that my account is now nearing a million and that I’ve steadily compounded my way to financial security. But nobody knows how badly I lost during my first few years in crypto. I used to be blindly overconfident, stubbornly hold on without cutting losses, and keep thinking I could win it all back. In the end, I got deeper and deeper underwater and lost so much that I had to sell my house to pay off my debts. At my lowest point, I had to work up the courage just to open my trading app. I watched my account shrink every day, telling myself maybe things would turn around if I just waited a little longer. But instead of breaking even, I lost everything. $ETH

Later, I was left with nothing. With just a few tens of thousands in starting capital scraped together from relatives and friends, I finally gave up on the dream of getting rich overnight. I stuck to the rules, patiently built my position step by step, and managed to climb back up to where I am today. After countless losses and paying an enormous price in tuition, I’ve distilled ten years of hard-won crypto experience into these ten most valuable lessons:

First, when the broader market plunges and only a few coins hold up, keep a close eye on them. True market leaders emerge from periods of panic.

Second, the simpler your trading, the more money you make. Understanding the big trend is far more useful than piling on a dozen pointless indicators.

Third, if a short-term trade goes wrong, accept the loss decisively. A 5% loss is a minor mistake; a 50% loss means you’re hopelessly trapped. There’s a world of difference between the two.

Fourth, don’t try to buy the dip during a crash or catch a falling knife. Wait until the market has clearly stopped falling and stabilized before considering an entry.

Fifth, money always flows toward strong market trends. The strength of market leaders will always exceed your expectations.

Sixth, don’t be tempted by low-priced coins. Don’t assume something is cheap just because it has fallen a lot. Many coins can fall another 90% even after dropping 90% already.

Seventh, the most dangerous time is when you’re on a winning streak. Most people don’t lose in a bear market; they lose because success goes to their heads and they take on oversized positions.

Eighth, if you’re not confident, stay in cash and watch. Staying out of the market won’t lose you money, but recklessly opening a large position can be fatal in a single trade.

Ninth, watch the hype around new coins, but don’t get involved. Hype rises fast, and the crash comes even faster. Don’t get carried away.

Tenth, always respect the market. The crypto market has a way of humbling the arrogant and those who blindly refuse to admit they could be wrong.

After all these years in crypto, I’ve come to understand one truth: in a bull market, everyone is a genius and everyone can make money. Only the bear market separates the wheat from the chaff and shows who can really trade. There are plenty of people in crypto who make big money, but very few manage to keep it and walk away safely. In this market, surviving will always matter more than making a quick buck!
